EXECUTIVE SALES DIRECTOR

MN Inboard Water Sports is a family-owned business, proudly serving Minnesota’s 10,000 lakes for over 31 years. We are the exclusive Malibu and Axis Boat Dealer in MN and have two high performing dealership locations, with another dealership location coming in 2024. We are seeking an Executive Sales Director who will oversee Sales Department operations across all three locations. Our Executive Sales Director will be a capable leader, passionate about providing an exceptional experience for our customers. The Executive Sales Director is responsible for ensuring our sales teams are performing at a high level and providing excellent customer service to our MN Inboard Family of boaters. You must have strong leadership skills, excellent communications skills, be highly organized, able to tackle complex problems, and a curious active learner and leader, always striving for growth and improvement. The ideal candidate must possess a diverse skill set that lends itself strongly towards people management, time management, industry knowledge, critical thinking, and logistical practicality. As a seasoned executive, you will have profit and loss accountability and the ability to drive strategic optimization, manage and drive key improvements based on sales analytics, and lead the sales team into achieving market share goals while optimizing profitability. This will be a new position for MN Inboard and will report directly to the CEO.

You will be accountable for:

· Building, managing, and motivating high-performing sales teams across our three sales locations, setting clear goals and objectives, and providing ongoing coaching and feedback to ensure success.

· Analyzing sales data and market trends to identify areas for improvement, produce sales forecasts, and make strategic decisions to drive revenue growth and market share.

· Collaborating with other departments, including marketing, and finance, to align sales strategies with overall company objectives.

· Participating in industry events and conferences to stay up to date on industry trends and identify new business opportunities.

· Establishing and maintaining a positive and results-driven culture within the sales teams, fostering a high-performing and collaborative environment.

· Monitoring pricing trends, guiding pricing decisions with sales staff, and working with CEO to review and adjust pricing strategies as necessary.

· Researching and understanding competitive environment, and ensure our sales teams are doing the same.

· Maintaining an in-depth knowledge of the company’s product and service offerings.

· Setting sales goals, achieving sales targets, and ultimately driving revenue growth and market share.

· Holding daily, weekly, and monthly sales team meetings. Attending weekly 1:1 meetings with the CEO.

· Providing a safe working environment by abiding by local, state, and federal workplace regulations as well as internal policies that protect staff and customers.

· Other duties as assigned.

· Make qualified decisions for operational activities and set strategic goals – evaluate overall performance by gathering, analyzing, and interpreting data and metrics.

· Be adept at handling multiple priorities and time sensitivities in a fast-paced environment.

· The ability to travel between dealer locations with high frequency, as well as conferences, and boat shows.

· Be comfortable with process discipline and process adherence, and able to identify and take opportunities to develop further and strengthen a process.

· Be able to communicate effectively in person, virtually, by phone, and by email/text. She/he must be able to interact effectively with internal stakeholders and customers to ensure customer satisfaction for the company, identify business growth opportunities and develop sales plans to obtain market share and sales growth in our territory.

Requirements:

· Demonstrated ability to ensure a high level of customer satisfaction and profitability in a fast paced, deadline driven environment.

· Ability to create original ideas, solve complex issues, think strategically, organize people, and implement policies and procedures.

· High level of organization, patience, process standardization, and exceptional critical thinking skills.

· Excellent interpersonal skills as well as outstanding written and verbal communication skills.

· Available via email and phone during and outside of “normal” business hours as needed.

· 10+ years of sales experience with five or more years in a leadership/management role.

· Experience in and knowledge of CDK/Light Speed EVO (or other CRM) to manage contacts, track sales process pipeline, and generate performance reports preferred, but not required.

· Bachelor’s degree in business, or equivalent experience.

Compensation:

Pay Range: $120,000- $200,000

Compensation plan will be comprised of a base salary and additional compensation awards tied to achieving specific metrics. Specific details of the comp plan for this position will be provided during the recruitment and interview process.
